Vanessa (Dehn) Messer
Matron of Honor
Vanessa and Lauren met after Lauren switched Junior Highs in 9th grade. They became fast friends and have remained close even though they have been living 400 miles apart the past 5+ years. Vanessa is a cosmetologist in Rogers, MN and lives with her husband Nick in Princeton, MN. Lauren was Vanessa's maid of honor when she got married in 2004. Together, they enjoy shopping, being silly, playing soccer and hockey (as they did through high school) and talking about their changing lives.

Megan Sellheim

Megan and Lauren have known each other since they were 5 years old and went to the same daycare. They spent a lot of time together those early years, and although some time passed from when they used to lip sync to Salt N' Pepa, they were reunited in 9th grade. Megan graduated from Iowa State and is a Chemical Engineer at 3M in Minnesota. She lives in St. Paul and enjoys traveling, deep thoughts (one of our most recent adventures included bringing a book to a bar and asking questions to random strangers) and can shake it on the dance floor. Megan is also single and ready to mingle!

Laura Fretschel

Laura (aka Fretch) and Lauren met at a (nerdy) camp called Governor's Scholar when they were in high school (and Jesse "the body" happened to be governor at the time). Later on they discovered that they were both considering going to Creighton University in Omaha and decided to live together. Laura and Lauren were roommates all through their schooling at Creighton and have been known to get pretty rediculous when they are together. Laura is finishing her schooling in physical therapy at Creighton and will graduate a week before the wedding!

Sarah Daley

Sarah and Lauren met in college (she lived down the hall freshman year) and were roommates both their junior and senior years. They have chosen the same career as occupational therapists and Sarah will graduate from Creighton in December of 2008. She enjoys traveling and being crafty. Sarah and Lauren have a tradition of watching the show the Bachelor together since freshman year. Sarah and Lauren were also both in the same sorority throughout college, Pi Beta Phi.

Jane Renner

Jane and Lauren met their freshman year in college at Creighton on the 9th floor of Kiewit Hall. She lived next door to Lauren and Fretch and the three of them had difficulty staying out of trouble together. Jane is from Colorado, and will be graduating from Physical Therapy school the week before the wedding. Jane and Lauren enjoy keeping up on their shows...Project Runway, Gray's and the Bachelor to name a few.

Molly Handke

Molly and Lauren met when Lauren was the leader of Molly's freshman seminar her sophomore year. They hit it off and have been friends ever since! One of their favorite memories together is when they went to visit their friend Marie and her family in South Bend, IN and also spent some time in Chicago. Molly is currently in graduate school for Student Services at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (Go Huskers!). Lauren is lucky to have a friend to crash with when the drive to work gets to be too much!
