  • A Great Celebration

    Thank you for making the day wonderful!

    Just a brief word for whomever might be checking the site. We will have wedding pictures uploaded in about 8 weeks. We own the rights to the pictures, so you should be able to download and make copies of them yourselves!! Thank you so much for your presence, kind words, funny toasts and making the trip to Omaha to spend time with Mike and I. We had an absolutely wonderful time and we have all of you to thank! We are taking off for Sonoma, CA to do a little more celebrating. Again, thank you for making this year and a half of planning all worth it!

  • Done with Marriage Prep

    "You're on a journey"...an overused phrase

    Mike and I took a little trip to Columbus, NE this weekend to take part in the "When Families Marry" session, an all day marriage prep boot camp. Or "love class" as Sucha calls it. While it wasn't the first place we wanted to be on a Saturday, we got a chance for some more discussion and to realize that we are ready for this. We have met with our priest Fr. Bert to go over our compatability test and discuss all of the big marriage related issues. We have picked out our readings and in a couple weeks we meet to finalize our litergy as well as picking out music. I can't believe that it is only 6 weeks away!!!! Can't wait to see you all here!

  • More Sanity

    Finally Done with Boards

    Today I took my board exam for OT! Now that that is over, I will have more time to wrap up our plans for the wedding. I have been reminded that we have less than 90 days to go (thanks Molly!). We will start our meetings with our priest next week and soon after will get to plan the music for the ceremony and reception...my favorite part! If you have any requests for songs to be played at the reception, write them on your reply card, or put in your requests on our online guest book. If you don't get on the dance floor you will be in big trouble! See you in three months!

  • When's the Party?

    Planning, planning and more planning

    Things are coming along in the world of wedding planning. I know that when this is all said and done, I am going to have quite a bit of free time. I will have to take up a new hobby. This weekend, I accomplished quite a bit. We figured out the style of the cake and finalized our order, picked out invitations (FINALLY...Mike and I could not decide for the longest time) and also met with the lady that is making my veil. It has been a very fun and creative process and I hope that our day really reflects our style, elegant, fun and refined (well...I will speak for myself anyway). Next weekend we meet for our day long seminar "When Families Marry" to find out what the Church has to say about this thing called marriage. We are pretty well set...we have to figure out our limo situation and that may be our final thing to plan. Of course the details are yet to come, but that will have to wait. We are getting more excited by the week to celebrate with all of you! I can't wait to have all the people that we love in one place.
